They said Murano glass was a tradition. Wave Murano Glass says it’s a revolution.
At EuroLuce 2025, the Venetian glass atelier is unveiling not one, but two bold new collections:
an in-house line that reimagines modular lighting and décor through radical color and tactility,
and PRIVÉ, a poetic collaboration with architectural designer Armand Louis and Swiss design studio Atelier oï.
Together, the collections rewrite what Murano glass can be. It’s not just a material, but a living medium for movement, emotion, and space.
Wave Murano Glass: Modular Lighting & Décor + Contemporary Objects
Wave’s new collection defies easy classification.
These modular lighting and décor pieces, along with a series of contemporary vases and sculptural forms, are not designed to decorate space—but to bring it to life.
Inspired by the bold color palette of the 1970s, the depths of the Venetian lagoon, and infused with a tactile design language, these pieces don’t sit still—they speak.
From silky matte textures to crystalline surfaces, every curve, twist, and texture invites interaction, drawing you in and asking you to engage.
Vivid colors explode through the glass, shifting and changing with the light, creating a constantly evolving play of energy that feels almost alive.
These lights command the room, spark conversation, and make you reconsider everything you thought you knew about design.
Alongside these pieces, Wave introduces a series of limited edition objects that explore colour, contrast and the poetic potential of form:
- SKYLINE. A trio of vases of different heights, made with sommerso glass and cold worked to create bold contrasts between glossy and opaque surfaces. A colored core adds depth, while together they form a visually striking urban skyline.
- BUSTI. A dynamic blown glass sculpture of a female torso, textured with irregular fragments of molten glass that evoke raw energy, fragility and the beauty of imperfection.
- SPYRO. A pair of vases with submerged glass that wraps with blue and orange rods, spiraling towards infinity. A perfect balance between precision and organic movement, celebrating Murano’s mastery of color.
- NN12. A minimalist and luminous form where flowing glass threads create a calligraphic pattern, balancing chaos and control. The light reveals the tension and grace in each piece.
Whether luminous or sculptural, each work in the collection is a conversation between glass and gesture, tension and resolution, material and craftsman. These are not just decorative objects, they are stories held in glass.
PRIVÉ by Atelier oï – In collaboration with Wave Murano Glass
Where the Wave collection is expressive and energetic, the PRIVÉ collaboration is more meditative. Born from the silent synergy between the Swiss design studio Atelier oï, the architect Armand Louis and the glass masters of Murano.
“Since I arrived in Venice, I have had the opportunity to work closely with Roberto Beltrami and his wonderful team,” says Louis. “A true affinity has developed between us, based on trust, mutual respect and a deep sense of complicity. This human and professional connection has brought a rare intensity to our exchanges… like a thread that continues into the future.”
Confluo, the accompanying table series, combines cast and blown glass in a single form: a dense, textured surface delicately supported by a luminous blown base. The two elements balance each other like tectonic layers—solid and fluid, mass and breath
What links both collections is the idea of dialogue; not just between designers and artisans, but between the pieces themselves and the spaces they inhabit. These works don’t stand still; they react, transform, and invite human presence.
At EuroLuce 2025, Wave Murano Glass doesn’t just present glass. It performs it. It feels it. It shapes it into new emotional and architectural possibilities.
This is the future of Murano. And it’s not transparent.
